On June 9, 2008, President Bush amended Executive Order 12989 requiring all federal contractors to participate in the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify Program. The amendment to Executive Order 12989 requires contractors to verify employment eligibility for all new hires working on federal contracts as well as all new hires working within the United States.
The E-Verify Program is an internet-based system that allows employers to confirm the legal status of new-hires only.
Customers currently using CRC's Paperless Form I-9 Solution are linked into the DHS E-Verify program. When completing an electronic Form I-9, the new hire's work eligibility will be verifed instantaneously, saving both time and company resources.
